Canon EOS M50
I did a lot of research and ended up with the Canon EOS M50. Besides the price then the capability for it to actually shoot in 4K is a major gamechanger. I know, I know, it is not full frame but it is definitely not necessary if you have a vlog!
Pros
- Price vs quality!
- 4K shooting capability!
- Fully articulated screen!
- Touch screen
Cons
- Not full frame
- Battery life
- Grip is small
Approx. price: 619€

I started out with my cheap mic which was always annoyingly in front of my mouth when shooting videos. After a while I figured it was time to try something new! So I purchased the Rode VideoMic Go and it has been a DRAG! The sound is crisp and clear and for my basic vlogging setup it really does the job!
Pros
- Easy to fix
- No batteries required
- Good quality vs price
- Comes with a 90 degree mini jack (thank you!)
Cons
- When fixed to the hotshoe it blocks the flash
- You cannot adjust the db gain
- Might prevent using the viewfinder
Approx. price: 49,65€

A filter is just needed, if you are out in the sun you pop on the UV filter – but remember to get the right size! Look at your lens first.
Approx. price: 13,99€

You are going to need one of these as well, this way you can do live stream with your Elgato Cam Link 4K further down.
Approx. price: 7,09€
Buy it here90 degree mini jack for microphone
If you like me bought a cheap mic to begin with then this might be nice, so the mic jack does not cover the articulated screen, however, if you bought the RØDE VideoMic Go then this is not necessary. And really, no need to spend 11-12€ grab a beer instead.
Approx. price: 11,13€
Buy it hereConstant power for EOS M50
Okay, I bought 2 extra batteries but ended up ordering this as well because when you are streaming live, then you cannot just take out the battery, you NEED this. End of story!
Approx. price: 18,90€
Buy it hereElgato Cam Link 4K
This is what you need to stream directly from your Canon EOS M50 (or any other camera you have which has an HDMI or micro HDMI output). Plug in the Elgato Cam Link into the HDMI on your computer, then connect the camera to the Elgato and open the Elgato software and you are just about up running. This is also a NEED if you are to stream live on a regular basis. Forget any drivers or any expensive software, this is the deal!
Approx. price: 129,95€
Buy it hereSamsung EVO Plus: 256GB microSDXC card
Last but not least it is always nice to have a good card. Being a microSDXC does not make it perform worse than a full size SDXC card so don’t be fooled, speed wise it is just about the same. You can settle for less than a 256GB but if you can afford it, it’s a good investment, also this it probably not what would make your budget go haywire.
